As funny man Charles Nelson Reilly has past this video post reveals some odd and perverse advertising techniques. While pitching Bic Ink Crayons the chalkboard in the background distorts the Nathan Hale quote:
"I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
Given that today is Memorial Day, I found this leaving me a bit uneasy.
Don't shop today. Put down that white hot. Fight the temptation of commericalism and trivialization of this day. It won't kill you.

I'm reading military history today. I wanted to reach out and hug those old WWII soldiers marching in the parade past my house this morning. So much pain in their eyes, the things they must be remembering on this day. I hate war.

I begged my mom to buy me those markers when I was little!
Now I feel guilty.
But, I never, ever asked for a Barbie. I gave all my sister's Barbies "bob" haircuts, and I used to take their heads off and put my brother's G.I. Joe's heads on Barbie's body.
I should get points for that at least.
Or counseling.
Whatever.....
I broke the ShopVac yesterday. I could have run out to get the parts yesterday but I didn't. No matter how attractive the Sales Event.
I waited til today.
