Funny, I was just thinking of Waits the other night. I was watching Letterman, and Rickie Lee Jones was on and of course my train of thought was: "Gawd, she's awful. Not like she used to be. Wasn't she married to Tom Waits? Imagine those two singing lullabies to the babies."
I'm listening to it and my daughter walks by and says "What the heck are you listening to?" So I tell her, and I explain how I like his "spoken word" stuff much more, and we look at a few videos, and she says: "He was in that Dracula movie, gave me nightmares. Disturbing. Kinda artsy though." shrugs and walks off.
I am also a Taurus who enjoys long walks in scary poorly illuminated places, mid-seventies Dutch commercials and a variety of preparations of toast. Hobbies include a collection of thumb tacks and a passion for locking and unlocking doors.
